Re: Can we win the league?
Who would we rather there's ten a penny of;

A) Someone like me who supports the club DESPITE their reservations about our ownership and the OS move.

Or

B) Someone who is quite happy for the OS move to fail and the club to go bust as they are more interested in the area of Stratford being regenerated so it's nicer for them when they go and cash their cheques?

Tough one that.

Grassy you're ten a penny these days over there and since you've moved from the BML it seems to have cheered up a bit too.

So Benitez didn't sign because of me?

You best get down on your knees and worship the positive effect I have on this club you pretend to support then.

Re: Can we win the league?
I don't really care if he was 1st or 5th choice, wether it was the plan all along or if it was a last minute appointment.

All that matters is that somehow he found his way here and so far it's proving to be an excellent appointment.

Side of Ham 10:20 Sat Mar 5
Re: Can we win the league?
Yes it would have been a waiting game for any manager grassy who could take the club up another level, Bilic is an example and like you say was the last choice after their top targets knocked us back, and a factor in that is that the budget they'd want wasn't there and they knew they'd have to suffer cunty moany fans like you grassy.

You bemoan everything about the club because you don't like the owners but slowly but surely they are making you do what they want AND offering up the kind of club running you can't openly find fault in that's why you nit pick and then jump on the bandwagon later on. Me I just go with the flow as I've never known the fail in business and they know what is required to keep football on the floor for the long term now.

JGW1 10:20 Sat Mar 5
Re: Can we win the league?
It was a waiting game but not necessarily for Bilic. As it happend BFS did us all a huge favour by being such an oaf and making his position untenable. I was dreading us hanging on in there and trying to rebuild in the first season in a new stadium. Could have been disastrous.

Johnson 9:58 Sat Mar 5
Re: Can we win the league?
A waiting game? What for, Bilic?

Absolutely not, Bilic was NOT the BERKS first choice, if they had their way we'd have Benitez now.

Bilic wasn't even their second choice. We've landed right on our feet with him though.

Side of Ham 9:45 Sat Mar 5
Re: Can we win the league?
Has any of you numb nuts stopped to think that if we sacked BFS any earlier we would have unlikely got Bilic as he was having a good spell with Besiktas and he would have to take us on with the second season syndrome AND with very little budget as it had gone on Carroll.

This whole thing was a waiting game and process that needed to be gone through and is now paying dividends. Everyone knew BFS wasn't the long term solution he was the caretaker before we got to the point where we could get in the right staff, that's why the owners were getting staff over BFS's head.

Corals said a few weeks ago on talk sport that 123 people had backed Leicester at 5000-1.

I put us EW at the start of the season for a bit of fun

I also had us for the fa cup

Those fun punts could , could turn out to be lucrative

I imagine there are a number of Leicester fans who did the same

Re: Can we win the league?
This time last year wed just lost 1-0 at home to Chelsea and had won 1 league game since the turn of the year, we would only win 1 more game up to 2nd may making it just 3 wins in the 2nd half of the season.

Today we face Everton having lost just 2 games since November (our last home defeat was August) and on 46 points, just 1 point off our league total for last season (47) with 10 games left.

Be careful what you wish for everyone said. I'm so glad we can throw pies in everyone's face (I'm not sure that's the right term but I do know that I'm now banned from Greigs).

Yeah, I'm always DEVASTATED when we beat Tottingham.

Especially so when it thwarts their aspirations to go top.

Re: Can we win the league?
I had us to win the league in October, just before payet got injured, and a few others

We then went on a run of 6 draws, it's now March and we are 250/1 and still in with a shout, had payet stayed fit im confident at least 3 of the draws would be wins which would put us up level 2nd. It's more than possible that every team above us lose 5 out of 10 of their remaining games. As it is for us to, if by some miracle we can go on a run and win 9 of our last 10 games I think we can. It's a bit mad but I still believe

No but - we have become a remarkably decent team well worth our current position and it could get better yet. Enjoying every minute of it.

I put my bet on in January.

You probably need to call the bookie, but they might say they are "related events".

The double ( top four and FA ) is now about 150-1

For me it's the worst quality Premier League

Exactly the wrong conclusion. It's the best quality for years as talent is spread across the league, hence why the 'top teams' have found it difficult as other clubs aren't rolling over for them.

Funny fella because every so called Football expert I have heard and seen has called the quality of this years Prem' pretty dire... the defending has been at time laughable ... there is not too many players in the prem that would get into a world's top XI... especially the defending
